Vomit. pretty sure the solar reference is to panels on his or her house (I hope!). Didn't know until this post that the Leaf came with spoiler PV cell option. I imagine more manufacturers will begin adding these as the feds gave OEMs a credit on CAFE for roof solar cells.

Maybe the owner's house is decked out in solar panels? I know a lot of people in the sun states like to do that.

Not terribly true, either. Zero tailpipe emissions, but that power is coming from somewhere and probably not the sun (or the faux-carbon fiber trim).
